And one of our personal favorites, the Bridesmaid Charm Cake a sentimental custom that dates back to Victorian England, now traditionally served at the bridesmaids luncheon. The Bridesmaid Charm Cake has several charms placed underneath it, each attached to a ribbon. The charms all have a special meaning, such as a cross symbolizing a life of peace. Before cutting and serving the cake, each guest will pull a ribbon to reveal a charm, which is said to hold a promise of her future.
